Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Patient Placement Registered Nurse to support centralized hospital operations, coordinating with units, supervisors, and admitting departments. The role emphasizes data-driven capacity management and real-time bed utilization across hospitals.

The position is .75 FTE, night shifts, 12-hour rotations, with weekends on a rotating schedule. Requires RN licensure in MN/WI and BLS; prior hospital operations or patient flow experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing or Associate degree RN enrolled in a bachelor of nursing program.
• Minimum two years in hospital operations, patient flow, or inpatient clinical coordination; or minimum of three years across ED/ICU
• Current RN license MN or WI; must obtain both MN and WI licenses within 6 months
• BLS/CPR certification as required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement with nursing units, Admissions, and bed management to optimize throughput.
• Monitor real-time capacity and ensure timely transitions of care across HealthPartners hospitals.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to maintain patient flow and bed utilization.
