Job summary

Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, AL, part of Baptist Health, is hiring a Patient Care Technician 1East for the full-time night shift. The PCT will assist RNs, LPNs, and physicians in routine patient care and activities of daily living, working onsite with the patient care team.

Required is a High School diploma; CNA/HOSA certification or completion of Nursing Fundamentals clinical rotation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a Nurse Student or 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety; medical terminology training preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs, LPNs, and physicians in patient care.
• Support routine and non-complex patient care tasks.
• Perform activities of daily living assistance as part of the patient care team.
• Monitor and document vitals as directed.
