Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels is seeking a dedicated patient care assistant to support nursing staff and ensure patient safety during the 7PM–7AM shift.

You will assist with feeding, mobility, personal care, and routine tasks, document vital signs, and communicate changes to the care team. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required or preferred, with hospital experience beneficial. This is a full-time on-site role in New Braunfels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
