Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Medicine Unit 6. The part-time night shift (7pm–7am) supports nurses, provides patient care, and assists with admissions and discharges while following safety practices.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 90 days of hire; multiple CNA/NCMA/NCPCT options or related clinical training are acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• One of the following minimum requirements: CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, navy hospital corps school, or clinical program enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient safety practices.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Support the care team on a 20-bed Medicine Unit.
