Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the 3 Bravo Respiratory IMC Unit. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs and specimen collection, with a patient ratio of 1:8 to 1:12.

High school diploma and healthcare program certs are required; AHA BLS within 90 days of hire. The unit offers Magnet nursing excellence, 24-bed capacity, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• HS – High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Programs accepted: Sentara Care Partner Certification, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/ETM, RN/LPN/RT/PT clinical student with experience as PCT or Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to RN.
• perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKG, and specimen collection.
• Assist with mobility, indwelling catheter care and specimen collection.
• Observe and document patient status, ensuring safety and comfort.
