Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our night shift full-time team. You will support Registered Nurses in delivering hands-on care, monitor patients, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

Your role includes assisting with mobility, vital signs, and daily personal care, while ensuring clean, stocked patient areas and complying with infection control protocols. CNA or PCT certification and BCLS within 30 days are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• CNA or PCT certification preferred
• 1+ years experience in a hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
