Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join the Parkridge Hospital team on the Night shift. You will support the Registered Nurse to meet basic patient needs, performing routine assistive tasks and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, vital signs, and timely reporting of any concerns.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene including bathing, hair care, teeth brushing, and washing.
• Support with nutrition and feeding, including meal setup and assistance with feeding.
• Assist with ambulation and fall prevention under RN supervision.
• Aid with elimination needs and monitor inputs/outputs.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
