Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of patient care experience preferred; or completion of nursing program clinicals or CNA/LNA certification/licensure.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by department.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, weigh patients, and collect routine specimens.
• Assist with activities of daily living and provide personal care.
• Perform EKGs and assist with procedures; open sterile supplies as needed.
• Document patient care observations and report to RN; chart accurately.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and privacy standards at all times.
• Check equipment and supplies; coordinate with team for restocking and repairs.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing in-service education of the team.
• Perform finger sticks and support phlebotomy under supervision.
