Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician or Nurse Technician for the Post-operative/General Surgical Unit (South 5). The unit is 36 beds for adults and short stay pediatrics, supporting vascular, GI, GU, bariatric, head & neck and reconstructive procedures.

The role is 0.9 FTE on nights, 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts. CNA/NA-C required; MA-R sponsorship available post hire; BLS required; prior healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NA-C certification is required.
• Completion of a CNA training program or equivalent nursing training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• MA-R licensure required post hire (Overlake sponsors).
• One year of health care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Post-operative/General Surgical Unit.
• Assist with nursing duties as delegated by the RN.
• Maintain patient records and documentation in the unit's system.
