Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Intermediate Care. This PRN nights role supports nursing staff by feeding, bathing, moving patients, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

You will work under supervision to provide quality patient care. The position requires a high school diploma, PCT-related certification or training, and BCLS; nursing students and EMTs may qualify.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT experience in an acute environment preferred.
• Certification via TX CNA or PCT program required upon hire.
• EMT or nursing student status may be considered.
• BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care.
• CPI training within 90 days upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under nursing supervision (feed, bathe, dress, groom, move, etc.).
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed.
• Enter orders and document care accurately in the patient chart.
• Collaborate with nursing to adapt care to patient population and cultural needs.
