Job summary

Under supervision, you will help with applying basic care tasks, documenting data, and handling department reception duties while supporting a collaborative healthcare team. This full-time night position requires a High School Diploma and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of acceptable ranges of blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and EKG.
• Ability to document and utilize electronic health record applications.

Responsibilities

• Assists with ambulating and mobilization of patients and recording vital signs.
• Performs clerical duties to assist the healthcare team and acts as receptionist for the department.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for the department.
• Sits with patients and Baker acted patients as needed and relays information to the nurse.
