Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required or completed within 90 days.
• Completion of a recognized nursing assistant course or CNA training with lab/clinical experience or equivalent training within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal patient care tasks, such as mouth care, beds, baths, perineal care, hair care, shaving, backrubs, and bedpan/urinal emptying.
• Assists with patient safety issues: identification, fall protocol, restraints, positioning, rest environment, incident reporting.
• Performs treatments like catheter care, enemas, sitz baths, compresses, and aiding ambulation.
• May retrieve and transport medications.
