Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department night shift at Edward Hospital in Naperville. You will work under the direction of an RN, performing patient care tasks to support comfort and safety during 7pm–7am shifts.

Full-time 36 hours per week, rotating holidays/weekends; CPR is required, EMT-B preferred, and previous nursing assistant experience or clinical rotation is valued. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: N/A
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• EMT-B Certification preferred
• Experience: Six months of patient care experience or equivalent, or nursing clinical rotation or EMT-B course
• Care Companion Course completion within six months of hire when required by department
• Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, prioritization, and ability to follow directions

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide care, comfort and safety for patients.
• Support nursing staff with routine duties during night shifts.
