Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Certified Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide delegated patient care under RN oversight, support bedside care, and document tasks.

The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and safe, efficient care. Night shifts are available at New Orleans East Hospital, with a focus on delivering compassionate, high-quality service to patients and families.

Candidates should have a High School diploma and CNA/MA/CPC certifications; BLS and CPI training preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of Clinical Care experience; CNA or PCT experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (MA) or CNA certifications listed.
• CPR/BLS and CPI/NCI-CPI training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned priority technical procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Provide care services including CPR, ADLs, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.
• Prepare patient room, chart in the EMR, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Prioritize tasks by acuity and patient needs.
• Report abnormal findings to RN and correct unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve patient care.
• Seek supervision when needed and maintain continuity of safe care.
