Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join the interdisciplinary care team under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Qualified applicants include CNAs, PCTs, MAs or EMTs, or students enrolled in the NWH PCA Training Program or BSN/direct-entry programs. This is a 40-hour weekly, onsite night shift position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required, unless enrolled in the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program.
• Nursing students enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry masters programs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical support functions under the supervision of a registered/licensed nurse to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient safety and quality of care.
