Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the Adult Telemetry/Stroke Care unit. This role supports nursing staff, assists with patient care, and helps maintain a safe, healing environment for patients during night shifts on a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule with potential weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross - obtain it during the new hire period if not held.
• Nursing students: BLS certification required prior to hire.
• Military experience (HM/68W/4N0X1) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and transfers.
• Coordinate with caregivers to create a welcoming and healing environment for patients.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patient conditions to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
