Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 0–6 months of experience required; 1–2 years preferred.
• Trained in AHA CPR and patient care skills.
• May be an RN student who completed med/surg rotation or acute care rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as delegated by licensed staff.
• Give clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment.
• Document observations and report changes to RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic care.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and proper patient positioning.
