Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT training program preferred.
• Nursing students who completed Fundamentals of Nursing course may apply (LPNs preferred).

Responsibilities

• Transcribes and computes physician orders and messages accurately.
• Assembles and maintains patient medical records.
• Sets up admission charts and discharges/transfers charts for completeness.
• Responds to intercom/pages and routes messages to the appropriate person.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and basic respiratory tasks if needed.
• Communicates orders to the nurse in charge and supports patient care on the unit.
