Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Part-Time Night Shift Patient Access Clerk at 3401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. You will register patients for hospital services and collect all registration, billing and related information from patients in Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology and Emergency Department.

You will verify insurance coverage, explain benefits, and help patients and families navigate the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 years experience in Patient Access required.
• General experience with and knowledge of insurance requirements, insurance verification, and 3rd party billing required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for hospital services and gather/process registration, billing and related information from patients in Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology and/or Emergency Department.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Review registration process and flow with patients and families.
• continually promote a positive patient encounter as the first impression of the Hospital.
