Job summary

Amcor LLC in United States is seeking a packer to support production lines. You will prepare boxes, operate packing equipment, move materials to staging, inspect bottles and label boxes, and wrap/palletize products for warehouse transfer.

The role requires basic math, punctuality and English reading/writing skills to follow labels and safety notices. Prior packing experience is beneficial but not mandatory; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to remember packing sequence and pack patterns.
• Ability to carry out work orders, make decisions on bottle jams.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• May, at company’s discretion, need to have experience as a Packer.

Responsibilities

• Prepares boxes for packers.
• Operates box machines, tape and glue type.
• Moves packed materials to staging area.
• Inspects bottles every 2 hours and records findings on check sheets.
• Verifies and labels packed boxes.
• Wraps finished product after QA and tags pallets.
• Transfers palletized product to the warehouse using a hand truck.
• Relieves Packers for breaks and lunch.
• Performs all machine repacks before the end of the shift.
• Reworks red-tagged product where possible.
• Keeps bottles off the floor at all times.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• All open cartons must be covered.
• No extra boxes on the production floor.
• Bring out necessary supplies for assigned machines.
• Reports accidents and safety issues to the Supervisor immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
