Job summary

Opus Packaging is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Assistant at our Jackson, MI facility. This full-time, on-site role supports producing corrugated packaging in alignment with our values and goals.

The position requires ability to lift, stand for long periods, read safety instructions, and operate basic measuring tools. We offer medical/dental insurance, PTO, holidays, and a monthly production bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.

Responsibilities

• Bend, reach, stoop, squat and stand for 8 hours.
• Have good hand-eye coordination.
• Occasional lifting of 50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10-20 pounds.
• Understand machine set-up, machine runs, plant data entry, handwork, or assembly assignments.
