Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. is seeking a Case Packer to prepare and package finished products in a GMP-compliant facility in Manchester, TN. You will operate the case packer and erector, conduct quality checks, and communicate order specs with line personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, reading production worksheets, and assisting with changeovers and data entry on production reports. PPE and safety procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain area, equipment, and personal sanitation.
• Prepare, weigh, carry, load, space product.
• Open and rework product.
• Operate case packer and case erector.
• Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain case packer.
• Review order specs and assemble boxes.
• Review order specs and pack boxes.
• Quality checks to assure product is packaged according to customer specifications on production sheet (price / label / packaging).
• Directly communicate to line personnel on order specs and quality issues.
• Palletize product.
