Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Packaging Operator to run and maintain packaging lines and related equipment. You will manage material flow, verify weights and codes, keep accurate logs, and ensure packaging meets quality standards on a fast-paced shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain packaging equipment (labelers, scales, conveyors, casers, wrapper) safely.
• Order packaging materials from storage as needed and inspect materials for defects.
• Ensure proper product container sizing and timely material handling to avoid line stoppages.
• Record logbooks and paperwork clearly and accurately.
• Report equipment issues and deviations to supervisors and maintenance.
• Verify packaging, coding, and sealing meet specifications and adjust as needed.
• Maintain GMP compliance and sanitary practices per SOPs.
• Analyze data to improve quality and throughput; support continuous improvement.
