Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. seeks a plant operator in Springfield, Missouri to run batching, pelleting and packing equipment within established safety, quality and customer service guidelines. This is a 3rd shift role, 8-hour shifts from 10:30 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., with a base wage of $22.00/hr plus a $3.00/hr shift differential. Responsibilities include documenting processes, maintaining equipment, participating in safety and lean manufacturing initiatives, and mentoring colleagues when

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to perform in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
• Able to climb catwalks, stairs and ladders to check bins.
• Must perform basic math operations.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Physically active and mobile during shift.
• Able to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet conditions.
• Able to work with allergens present.
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
• Good attitude and works well in a team.
• Handles other duties as required by management.
• Maintain excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple processes with minimal supervision, rotating between areas as needed.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and production processes are optimized to maximize output.
• Provide back up to other positions to cover absences or heavy workload.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in safety discussions and improvements.
• Participate in quality, lean manufacturing, and training meetings as required.
• Maintain housekeeping per policies and SOPs.
• Notify management of any product/process not meeting standards to reduce waste.
