Job summary

ABM is seeking an On-Site Safety Associate for night shift in Abilene, Texas. The role focuses on classroom instruction, hands-on training, and construction safety leadership within large-scale industrial projects.

You will teach safety topics, evaluate understanding, and reinforce training through field coaching. Responsibilities include administering safety programs, conducting audits and investigations, approving crucial safety documents, and coordinating with HR and Risk Management to manage

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety programs, training, and coaching on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 and related standards.
• Ability to develop, deliver, and assess safety training content.
• Proficiency in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer site/regional safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Review safety plans, conduct field audits, investigations, meetings, and follow-up.
• Approve JSA, LOTO, permits, and pre-task planning documents.
• Direct incident response and root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Manage workers' compensation and collaborate with HR and Risk Management.
• Maintain OSHA records and report leading/lagging indicators.
• Develop and deliver training content to meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Provide coaching, set expectations, and support performance management.
