Job summary

Responsibilities include comprehensive data collection, age- and disease-specific assessments, plan-of-care development, and medication administration with barcode tech. NJ RN license required; BSN preferred. BLS/CPR required; NRP/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• BSN preferred or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience required.
• One year of Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and/or Nursery experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
• NRP and ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established protocols and document events accurately.

Education

New Jersey Registered Nurse license
