Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Technician to assist with patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Duties include ADLs, vital signs, I&O, EKGs, and specimen collection.

The role requires a High School diploma, BLS within 6 months, and strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment. Must be able to move around the department and use computers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; hospital/patient care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, adaptability and problem-solving skills.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to work in a high-stress hospital setting and move throughout the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Take vital signs, inputs/outputs, and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with specimens, meals, transport, and basic dressing changes.
• Support health care team and ensure infection control and safety standards.
