Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support inpatient rehabilitation patients during full-time night shifts (6pm–6:30am). You will assist with daily care, monitor patients, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent (3+ years’ related experience acceptable); BLS within 90 days of hire. Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted; 3+ years of related work experience also considered.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or related field preferred.
• POETs testing may be part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and snacks and document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients and assist in mobility programs.
• Transport patients to designated areas as needed.
