Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 11LP Digestive Health Unit. The night shift (7 pm–7 am) covers three shifts per week to support pre/post procedures and patient care on a 30-bed unit with evolving AI-enabled care pathways.

Highlights include training opportunities for a dedicated team and involvement with a growing organ transplant program. You will assist with hygiene, vitals, and daily patient needs in a controlled clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of nursing assistant work experience in the past five years, or the trainings listed below.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination and nutritional needs.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean, neat, and organized patient environment.
• Maintains safety and security of patients, families, self, and healthcare team.
• Assures patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions and washes hands between patients.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Takes and records vitals and documents patient information as directed.
• Communicates safety concerns to RN or team.
• Participates in hourly rounding and handoff reports.
• Delivers exceptional service to patients, families, and staff.
