Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Nursing Assistant at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This role is 60 hours per two weeks on the Night shift, with 12-hour shifts and every third weekend, offering comprehensive benefits.

The Nursing Assistant will support the professional nurse in patient care, transport, room setup, and supply management within Med/Surg Medical. Requires BLS, completion of Fairview OnTrack program or equivalent, and direct-care experience, with enrollment in

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required; able to obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers upon completion of OnTrack program.
• Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
• Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting.
• Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program.
• Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire (not required to be maintained throughout employment).

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in delivering patient care and comfort.
• Transport patients and equipment between rooms.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms and stock supplies.
• Document care activities per unit protocols.
