Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to support Behavioral & Mental Health operations on the full-time night shift at Scottish Rite. A BSN is required and at least 1 year of people-management experience is preferred.

The role involves ensuring safe patient care, coordinating staffing, and promoting a healthy work environment across hospital areas, including ED and inpatient units.

Responsibilities

• Supports environment for delivery of care for BMH patients.
• Acts as clinical resource for BMH patient populations throughout all areas of hospital, including Emergency Department and inpatient areas.
• Maintains competence to provide and/or assist with clinical care, including acting as Code BERT lead.
• Participates in educational process related to delivery of healthcare.
• Maintains own professional development.
• Fosters professional development of others via feedback and coaching.
• Understands and supports Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta's nursing career advancement program.
• Participates in shared leadership councils.
• Fosters collegial relationships between team members and departments.
• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in budget, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Manages and orders required supplies to promote quality patient care delivery.
• Serves as department leader on shift in absence of manager.
