Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an experienced RN or LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on the 7pm-7am shift. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and hospital policies, maintaining a high level of quality care for residents.

Responsibilities include coordinating the care plan, supervising staff, administering medications as ordered, and participating in ongoing education to improve patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess current unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL/WI.
• Must possess CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Ability to read/write/speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care for the unit.
• Directly supervise and instruct the nursing staff to promote knowledge and adherence to policies.
• Ensure all staff follow departmental policies, dress code and care plans.
• Attend and participate in customer care plan conferences and communicate with physicians and families.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians; document appropriately.
• Perform required assessments on admission, transfer, and discharge; chart nursing notes.
