Job summary

McLaren is seeking a Nurse Assistant / Patient Care Associate for the night shift in Mount Clemens, MI. You will assist with day-to-day patient care under RN supervision and help maintain a safe, hygienic care environment.

Responsibilities include patient hygiene support, assistance with daily activities, and ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance while delivering compassionate care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Formal education or training in a medical careers program OR enrollment in nursing school OR two or more years’ experience in a Patient Care Associate/Nurse Assistant role.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
