Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide compassionate patient care across a range of conditions.

This is a full‑time, 36‑hour night shift with weekends and holidays as scheduled. We offer comprehensive benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and life insurance. Pay range is $18.05–$25.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CT approved Nurse Aide Training Program or progress towards related BA/Health Sciences with clinical.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous CNA/healthcare experience preferred; pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Assist with activities of daily living: hygiene, diet, hydration, skin care, bathing, dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility.
• Patient transport.
• Collect specimens.
• Distribute linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients.
• Monitor safety for at-risk patients as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program / in process of earning a BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed

BLS certification

Previous healthcare related experience
