Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a night shift, full-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN). This role provides specialized neonatal care in a high-acuity setting, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The NICU RN will assess and monitor neonates, implement care plans, and document care in accordance with HHS standards while adhering to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state approved Registered Nurse Program.
• Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
