Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the NICU, full-time nights, in the Los Angeles area. The RN will independently apply the nursing process to safely and effectively care for a group of NICU patients, delivering individualized care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, and families.

The role requires compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act and related professional standards.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking skills.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• NRP neonatal resuscitation.
• VIP violence prevention program knowledge.
• STABLE completion or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of NICU patients using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Provide individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family.
• Comply with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725, of the Business and Professions Code.
