Job summary

Advocate Health's Neurological Diagnostics: Inpatient unit in Charlotte is seeking a Chief Technologist to oversee clinical operations and EEG procedures across patient care areas.

The role requires ABRET registration, EEG registry within 3 years, and BLS certification along with 4 years of experience (5 preferred). The position involves supervising staff, ensuring safety, and coordinating schedules with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registration in one Neurodiagnostic modality through ABRET is required.
• EEG registry must be obtained within 3 years of hire date.
• BLS certification is required.
• 4 years' experience is required; 5 years' experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical operation of clinical services in the department.
• Coordinate Neurodiagnostic staff scheduling and priorities.
• Perform routine and complex EEGs in all patient care areas.
• Ensure electrical safety of equipment and conduct safety checks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor equipment repair when necessary.
• Maintain department policies and update documentation.
• Recruit, develop, and evaluate technical staff.
