Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center Neonatology seeks an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a collaborative team in a Level II NICU. The NNP will manage overnight NICU shifts and contribute to well-baby nursery and delivery room coverage.

The position involves independent practice after orientation, with in-house Respiratory Therapy support and nocturnal Neonatologist backup. The unit handles 1,000–1,500 deliveries annually.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Current NP licensure by the state of employment.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Two years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate overnight care for NICU patients.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns in a Level II NICU.
