Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic for a 24/7 operation at the Columbus Plant.

You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed filling and packaging equipment, run PMs and calibrations, and repair or rebuild components as needed.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and a two-year mechanical/electrical technical degree or equivalent experience; 12-hour night shift with rotating days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a two-year mechanical/electrical technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical repair of high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
• Must read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient use of hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and welding equipment to repair and rebuild production lines.
• Perform PMs, inspections, certifications, and calibrations on fillers and ancillary equipment.
• Repair, adjust, set up, and rebuild manufacturing equipment including fillers, cappers/sealers, labelers, coders, and packaging systems.
