This role focuses on mechanical and electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and calibration of fillers and packaging equipment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, plus experience reading schematics and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a two-year mechanical/electrical technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical repair of high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repair of plant utilities, welding, machining, gearbox, pump repair, wiring drives, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and steam.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, set-up, and rebuilds on manufacturing equipment (fillers, cappers/sealers, labelers, coders, packaging equipment).
• Maintain tools and shop equipment; ensure PMs, calibrations, and safety procedures are followed.
• Support 24/7 maintenance operations on Abbott Park facilities and associated sites.
