Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Technical Assistant for the Night shift at Baystate Medical Center. You will assist radiology technologists, residents, and attendings in exam rooms and during interventional procedures, while also handling patient preparation and clerical duties. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS. Prior patient care or medical terminology knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Medical Terminology and prior patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients promptly in a warm, friendly manner.
• Directs patients and family members to restrooms and amenities; maintains waiting areas.
• Assist technologists, residents, and radiology attendings in exam rooms and during interventional procedures.
• Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assists with interventional biopsy exams and prepares exam trays as needed.
• Performs clerical duties: scheduling, report/image retrieval, and communications with patients.
