Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mother Baby RN for a 13-week, night-shift assignment in North Carolina. Recent mother-baby experience and an NC or compact RN license are required. Night shift runs 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with a 1:3-4 patient ratio.

You will use Cerner EMR, Alaris pumps, and bilirubin blankets/lights; chances to float to L&D/NICU as needed. Strong team player who can teach and collaborate is essential.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• 1+ year of recent Mother Baby experience.
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate post delivery preferred.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• U.S. SSN and DOB required.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Staff Mother Baby Unit with 34 private couplet rooms.
• Night shift 6:45 PM–7:15 AM.
• Patient ratio 1:3–4 couplets.
• Operate Cerner EMR and uses Alaris pumps; bilirubin blankets/lights.
• May float to L&D and NICU as needed.
• Circumcisions performed on unit.
• Weekend shifts required with no on-call responsibilities.
• Team player who teaches and collaborates with staff.
