Job summary

Smith+ Nephew is seeking a mold technician to transform components from raw material to finished product in a team environment. You will operate molding equipment, inspect products, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in a clean room.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to read and write English, basic math, and meticulous attention to detail. Shift 3 (night). Hybrid work model with competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read/write English, have basic math skills and show good attention to detail with paperwork.
• Legible handwriting a must.
• Must be able to complete simple inspections.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect mold and equipment prior to installing into mold machine.
• Set up, operate, and inspect product produced on molding equipment.
• Verify equipment function; check ejector, mold and side cores movement, report issues to engineers/PM tech.
• Use inspection equipment and complete documentation in line with Smith+ Nephew policies and Quality Manual.
• Labor transactions and barcode scanning; work in a team with focus on safety and cleanliness.
• Perform simple maintenance and keep the work area clean.
