Job summary

Protolabs in the United States is seeking a Mold Process Technician to bring high-quality parts to life through advanced injection molding. You’ll set up, monitor, and fine-tune processes to ensure consistent production, troubleshoot challenges, and drive improvements in cycle times while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree/tech certification or 5 years related experience.
• Experience adjusting process parameters to correct defects in plastic injection molded parts.
• Knowledge of decoupled molding techniques and engineering resins.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start molds using decoupled / scientific molding practices.
• Inspect molds and materials at the press before start.
• Set up UR robots including auto spray, clipper and grid placement.
• Process parts to specifications per cycle sheets and record data.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and continually seek improvements.
