Job summary

Peabody Energy at Bear Run, Indiana, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on large surface mine equipment, grease and oil, and keep accurate records of work performed and equipment hours.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values.
• Must be able to communicate and coordinate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must clean and maintain tools and work area.
• Must follow Company, State and Federal regulations, plans and policies.
• Must have high safety standards for self and others and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to read & understand Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Other duties assigned by the company.
