Farm Service Elevator in Swanville, MN, is seeking a Mill Operator for the night shift. The role involves producing safe, quality feed, operating the pellet mill, and maintaining equipment in accordance with SQF and OSHA guidelines.

The position requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work nights Sunday through Thursday. Starting wage is posted and benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Boiler license preferred.
• 1-2 years in an agricultural setting preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Experience operating skid loader and forklift.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basics in electrical, compressors, welding, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, pumps.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Batch and pellet feed safely and accurately.
• Ensure medication is added to feed correctly.
• Apply downstream ingredients correctly and store finished feed properly.
• Complete logs according to SQF code and maintain cleanliness.
• Keep pellet mill magnets clean and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure equipment operates safely.
