Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lab Assistant to support Microbiology-Ref Lab operations during night shifts. You will follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards while collaborating with technical staff and department leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; must be 18+ to perform phlebotomy.
• Progression through career ladder II–IV requires completion of ladder requirements.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification as defined by state regulations.
• Valid state driver's license where employed and eligible for company auto insurance.
• Preferred: previous clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical lab staff with collection, receipt and processing of specimens.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing.
• May perform waived and/or limited moderate complexity testing if qualified and allowed by CLIA.
• Follow established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and professional standards.
• Report to department leadership and take direction from higher-level personnel.
