Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Metrology Technician for a night shift (6pm–6am, Sun–Tue with alternating Wednesday) based in Fremont, CA. The role is fully on-site in the factory, reporting to the Senior Manager of Metrology.

You will support metrology activities across multiple areas in fuel cell manufacturing. Required 4+ years in manufacturing with hands-on experience in high-precision machinery and vision inspection systems, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting high-precision machinery and vision inspection systems.
• Strong attention to detail, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift coverage (weekends) for Metrology Engineering activities.
• Respond rapidly to metrology equipment downtime and defects, optimize inspection software, troubleshoot across optical, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Identify abnormal conditions, coordinate containment actions, implement corrective measures with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate effectively with team and deliver daily reports.
