Job summary

Intermountain Electronics is seeking a Metal Fabricator for the night shift in Price, Utah. You will fabricate, lay out, align, and assemble structural metal components using a welder, cutting torch, grinder, and related tools to build machinery frames and shells.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 2 years welding experience, be proficient in MIG welding, and able to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years welding fabrication experience.
• Able to discern correct welding applications.
• Proficient in MIG welding.
• Rigging knowledge is required.
• Strong math skills for transferring print information.
• Ability to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings.
• Attends work reliably and on time.
• Capable of working in a team and following directions.
• Ability to obtain AWS certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and plans to plan layout.
• Verify pieces meet specifications with measuring tools.
• Weld components to AWS specs in various positions.
• Repair or modify parts using torches and grinders.
• Operate tools: MIG welder, shear, brake press, etc.
• Maintain tools and safety compliance.
