Job summary

Dayton Children’s is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join the Mental Crisis Services team. You will perform psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and group therapy within the Mental Health Unit and Day Treatment programs, developing personalized treatment plans with families and the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work and licensure as LMFT, LPC, or LSW in Ohio. Minimum one year of behavioral health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work is required.
• Licensure as LMFT/LPC or LSW in Ohio is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments for patients in crisis and non-crisis situations.
• Deliver crisis intervention and short-term therapy within unit or day treatment.
• Conduct group therapy and participate in milieu activities as directed.
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
